there of fargo, and areas of northwest minnesota. that is what they are expecting there. again, that's with a front that's going to come through this area on sunday. so let me show you storm team 4 radar. that front here, still some spin and moisture left behind, so it's not really a big area, but enough to produce snow and cause troubles across northwest minnesota. that front, again, temperatures behind it, in the 40s right now. and temperatures will be dropping off into the 30s there during the overnight, arriving here on sunday. so big-time cooldown, and dramatic change for the second half of the weekend. 80 degrees right now under mostly sunny skies. a little breezy, too, northwest winds at 12, coming in behind today's weather front. we'll have temperatures starting out tomorrow morning at 53 in frederick, 60 in d.c., starting out 59 around la plata, waldorf and stafford starting at 58 degrees. under a clear sky, or i should say clear at least by late morning for most. might be a little bit of patchy fog. not expecting a whole lot, because i really think that the winds are going

but at least it wasn't the foot of snow that fell on northwest sections of minnesota more on that in a moment. the front passed around 3-4:00 and temperatures have been dropping ever since here is where the rain is on the radar. there is even some lightning in the storms. we are expecting this rain except for one little rain that may go through the southern suburbs to pullout. it brings the cool air in but drier weather as well. right up here is where you get the heavy snow 14 in. northwest ad badger minnesota. and as minnesota 8 in. so it could be worse and tonight there are gale warnings on the lake 10 states with frost and freeze advisories' from western iowa all the way to western washington and oregon the low temperatures over the weekend will be the coolest we have had in six months. 81 at both of those locations these are some weather but temperatures tonight in stark contrast elgin is at 50 and sycamore, 49 so is aurora. we expect ratings down in the '30's by warning. highs today only in the '30's out in parts of the dakotas. we will keep this jet a buckled into the cool air pouring i

visibility and we've got winds this morning northwest at 10 miles an hour. we've been watching the last few days the jet stream up to the north. you can clearly follow these clouds across minnesota, north dakota. this is kind of the boundary between some much colder air up in canada and some cool air down by us. in fact, it's cold enough to see a little snow this morning in michigan. i point this out because as these storms come across the northern part of the country, they're dragging cold fronts toward us. we're going to have a couple of days around here where temperatures will be on the cool side. low 60s today. mid-60s tomorrow. low 60s saturday. but there's also some warm air down in texas. i expect to get that at least in here for monday or sunday and monday. so in the short term, the fronts will come, one tomorrow. any showers with it stay in the mountains to our north. so not any significant weather. just reinforces the coolness that has moved in for today. looking at our forecast, expecting a high of 63. a pleasant afternoon. winds turn southwest 5 to 10 after northwesterly winds t
